The replacement of decoking valves at the ORLEN Unipetrol petrochemical plant in Záluží near Litvínov involved the dismantling and assembly of a total of six DN1000 valves and six DN500 valves. Simultaneously, it was necessary to dismantle, manufacture, and install heating pipes for these valves. The work took place during a planned plant shutdown over a 30-day interval. Given the parallel activities occurring during the shutdown, it was essential to have a carefully prepared project and precisely coordinate all steps.
- Project investor: ORLEN Unipetrol RPA, s.r.o.
- Client: Intecha, s.r.o.
- Manufacturer/partner: IMI Z&J
- Project implementation: SUTOR Global
- Technical parameters of equipment/implementation:
- Weight: 9.2 t (DN1000) and 7.5 t (DN500)
- Operating temperature: up to 450°C
Coordination of work during the shutdown was not simple, especially due to the simultaneous deployment of five cranes in one street. The dismantling and assembly of valves had to be carried out with maximum precision given the confined conditions of the surrounding technology. Nevertheless, we managed to successfully complete the project within the specified timeframe. We are proud to have been able to participate in this project and contribute to the modernization of one of the largest chemical complexes in the Czech Republic.
