SUTOR Global s.r.o. participated in a significant investment project of ORLEN Unipetrol RPA s.r.o., which aimed to build a new degassing (degasification) tank for liquid sulfur.
This project represented an important step in the modernization of sulfur processing technologies and increasing the safety and environmental friendliness of operations at the ORLEN Unipetrol site in Litvínov.
The main subject of the implementation was the installation of a horizontal pressure degasification vessel 4310–H03 with a volume of 117 m³, which enables degassing of sulfur produced in Claus units and the Sulfreen unit.
The project included not only the construction of the vessel itself, but also the complete connection of technological equipment, piping and instrumentation.
Technical data of the degasification vessel 4310–H03
- Volume: 117 m³
- Type: horizontal pressure vessel
- Heating: Contro Trace system from the American company Armstrong
- Installation: 2× bubbling column
- Insulation: complete
- Accessories:
- 2× degassed sulfur pump

Project details
- Project investor: ORLEN Unipetrol RPA s.r.o.
- Client: ORLEN Unipetrol RPA s.r.o.
- Degasification vessel manufacturer: Tamala systém a.s.
- Project implementation: SUTOR Global s.r.o.
- Preparatory work: from 2021
- Location: Litvínov – ORLEN Unipetrol RPA complex
By implementing this project, SUTOR Global significantly contributed to increasing the safety and environmental efficiency of sulfur processing within the ORLEN Unipetrol chemical complex.
The new degasification unit enables the removal of toxic hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) from liquid sulfur, thereby contributing to improving the working environment, protecting the health of employees and minimizing the impact on the environment.
