SUTOR Global s.r.o. performed a preventive overhaul of piston compressor P131R – ČKD 4 DSK 355 B (manufactured in 1969) within the scope of “intermediate repair” for the Air Products s.r.o. – Litvínov plant.
The objective of the repair was to perform a complete overhaul and replacement of worn compressor components to ensure its continued reliable operation in the air compression system.
The overhaul was performed during June–August 2025 and included complete service intervention including disassembly, measurement, repairs, and testing.
Main work performed:
- Disassembly of cylinders, piston rods, connecting rods, and crossheads, including inspection of their technical condition
- Clearance inspection on the crankshaft and random inspection of main bearings
- Replacement of piston rod seals, piston rings, and working valves
- Disassembly, overhaul, and pressure testing of the engine oil cooler
- Measurement and inspection of individual components after disassembly, wear assessment and repair recommendations
- Reassembly, alignment adjustment, and commissioning for test operation
During disassembly, defects were identified in the connecting rod bearings, connecting rods, and main crankshaft bearings, which led to expansion of the repair scope to include complete disassembly of the crank mechanism.
Following agreement with the customer, new replacement parts were supplied, which underwent inspection, measurement, and fitting to required clearances. The expanded repair also included honing of cylinder liners in two cylinders.
